Dreamt FearThis dream opens with complete and total darkness. But, there's a sound faintly interrupting the solace. I know it, and I know that I know it. It's so familiar, but...Even though I can't see, I know my eyes are open, so I close them, and try to concentrate....Murmurs...It's no use; I can't hear it right even when I isolate everything else. I exhale a breath of exasperation, and finally recognize it.It's a steady heartbeat.It seems to get louder, but slowly.
